Correction: On page 6 of the manual (minimum zoom to see the pois) is that 400,000 equals 40 km. Prolly 400,000 is 4 km so each unit = 1cm (instead of 10 cm). Next rls will come with input for zoom level in meters or kilometers! Guide will be updated soon as well.

Good evening. I have made a custom poi db3 database using the latest 5.2 pi. I have a version c rns-510 with firmware 3810 and v7.1 east maps. The pois were imported successfully to my rns. I have 2 problems though. The custom icons I used although I added them in the program with no problem, in 3D mode in my rns they are not depicted. Also my pois are viewable only when I have zoomed to 25m. I don't like this very much. I have put 1500 in max zoom level as you are suggesting in the guide. What value do I have to insert so as my POIs are viewable in 50m or better 75m? Thanks in advance.
Just be patient, custom POI db is quite new here, it needs some testing and tweaking. Each navi is unique, work in different manner as well as fw 38xx is not prolly final. Check this HP, forums, etc for news and updates.
Hi radas.
I have added some personal icons to the program. They show good on the setup screen of my RNS-510 (when you select the icons to be displayed) but then in the map these POIs are shown with other icons.

I actually created a db3 database by leaving zoom level as it was (400000) and now I can see the icons with no problem.
billman - thanks for the tip re. leaving the zoom level at 400000 - solved my problem also.
BTW billman/rad what dimensions do you use for your icons. I need to create some for UK specific shops, etc.
I have used some of the icons that came with the program in the latest database I made, not custom, just to be sure that I will have no problem. The dimensions are 34X39 for custom icons. I have read in a forum that if you place all the custom icons that you want in a folder and insert them to the program, and not each one seperately, they are depicted fine. I haven't tested it myself though.
Thanks Billman - I'll crack on with the ones I need. They're mostly 44x44 at the moment so a bit of fixing required.
Finally, poinspect0r imports only 34x39 png image, file is checked for correct dimension before store into db.
I've made some tests... The DB is created, succesfully imported in my RNS510, but I have an issue with the icons : I've imported some personal icons and use mostly (but not only) icons already in DB.
when I select a personal POI on my RNS, a different icon is used :-(
My RNS fw is 3890, Map V7.1 Western Europe.
I used icons from DB for Radars and personal ones for KFC or McDonald's for example.
When I select the Poi "Radars", I have the icon KFC, instead of the good one...

Follow the guide. Check u have db in right folder "PersonalPOI" and to be sure put name for db PersonalPOI*.db3

But now poinspector does not recognise my serial anymore and
my transaction id is already in use. there is no response from the support
